My father in law was a chemical engineer, worked on the Manhattan project. Smart guy. He died five years ago though so he's not much help. I like physics and chemistry and I dabble but I know squat about biology. I like dealing with discrete mathematics, my memory sucks.
My childhood was a while back, that scope was 900 power, the one I ordered goes up to 2000. Do not mistake me for someone who knows much about microscopes but they seem to be cheaper than I thought they would be. $650 Canadian, so maybe $450? US. It has a screen for viewing and a camera, you can hook it up to your computer. I'm a retired computer geek so that's fun. If you go bare bones optical it's probably less than half that, I don't remember.
I just got mine, quick! And some sodium citrate arrived today. But no slides. Just prepared slides, one is human blood. I'm leery of that one but I have a comparison.

Have you found any Caesium-137 yet, or is that out of your scope? Apparently it's necessary to co-ordinate the 5G transmission/reception.
