This is incredibly exciting Carl, you must feel like a little kid at Christmas morning! When I bought my microscope, I questioned Sandy about how does it compare to others that Dr. Anna recommends. She said that it’s “all about the light source“, And that I had one of the most powerful LED light sources, for that type of set up. It attaches, to the base with magnet, so it must be powered through some type of impedance mechanism. I’ll try to throw you some coin, possibly a little bit more than “buying a coffee”. Cheers, mate!
Yes resolution can be improved by imager choice and light source massively. There are problems getting to much power going. but some issues can be mitigated. not all. The lenses can make a big difference at higher mag, but up to 20x is normally no issue. less expensive scopes use lower grade glass optics and some cannot be used for say spectrometry or thermal imaging without correct optics. Typically most low to mid end scopes are very reasonable. The 260w LED is equivalent to over a 1000watts incandescent. Thank you so much for your support, hope you have been enjoying your scope.

I'm an electronics designer and might be able to assist with development of the LED controls as I have done some of that before with some 300/500W chandelier controllers some years back. I'm currently in Darwin N.T. then moving around OZ for a couple of more weeks but when I get back home to the UK we could discuss.
I reckon it's all done, the lt1083 LDO regulators are so nice. Makes life easy, got 4 pots to adjust the RGB levels. Might need help with other design at some point, always could to keep connected with fellow engineers. Do hook me an email, thank you brother !

Ive spent the last 8 years studying researching Nikola Tesla, Royal Rife , Bio Resonance & Lighting such as Infra red & Ultra Violet . There's a wierd smell of all those huge machines down at the lab I could never put my finger on. It's heat. Like the heat a living human being exudes that carries the personal odor. It terrified me. But this was after the war and the atom bomb. All those philistines like sharks in the water. I made sure to have nothing to do with it. So all this is Greek to me, except it isn't. It has to do with optics, and the driven quality of those in service to discovery or fidelity to the human; (whatever that is); But most of all, it's excitement. It's contagious. It's driven me all my life. David Nixon sent you a pedal; Sweet. Wish I could send you something. A glass, a bottle, from the Black Forest. They had a blast. Binoculars? I think they visited the Zeiss glassworks. I got the Steiff and an eye for the moon. No words can express my full appreciation. All us creatures from the forest, we're rooting for you. We knew you were up to something.
